Asked before the event — not during it. - Comfortable in chaos: 27 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard — including a deployment as First Sergeant — taught us to improvise, stay calm and keep the show moving. - We know who's in the room: Sienna remembers who's who — and makes the introduction that turns a guest into a partner. - Proven where it counts: 13+ years of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival operations, Bayou Country Superfest, Essence Fest credentials. ## Founder: Sienna M. Newton - 27 years, U.S. Air Force & Air National Guard: Senior Master Sergeant (E-8). Thirteen-plus years working the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and running Bayou Country Superfest with a skeleton crew while Jazz Fest ran two festivals at once, taught one thing: the festival that feels effortless was planned by someone who asked every awkward question first. We coordinate with security, the fire marshal and law enforcement, build the credential plan, and walk the site looking for the gap nobody else saw. ### Galas & fundraisers Events with a purpose — and a plan to actually raise the money. Fundraisers are where Sienna's heart is: a cancer survivor's gala, an athlete's charity night, a flag-football game between political rivals that raised about $37,000 for the troops. We connect the cause with the community — donors, local businesses, volunteers — so the room is full, the night runs on time, and people want to come back next year. ### Weddings & day-of coordination You enjoy the day. We handle the forgotten ring and the missing music. Hire us for the whole plan or just the day. Either way, the timeline is ours to run — and when something goes wrong (it will), nobody but you and us will ever know. One groom left the rings at the rental; a daisy chain of phone calls had them at the altar on time. Another couple forgot processional music entirely; a guest with a saxophone played the bride down the aisle. ### Retreats & destination experiences Peaceful, exotic, unforgettable — three to four a year and growing. It started with a friend saying, "I want to do a retreat somewhere peaceful," and Sienna answering, "I know a guy." Now RMG produces three to four retreats a year. Venue, travel, program, the people who make it special — we take your vision and bring it to the next level. ### Corporate events & leadership workshops Briefings that start with where the exits are — and end with people engaged. From leadership workshops to team outings, we bring military-grade planning to corporate rooms: clear expectations, clear communication, a committee that knows its job, and options when plans change. And yes — we open with where the restrooms are and how everyone gets out in an emergency. Most meetings never say it. Ours do. ### Private & celebrity events Trusted by athletes, entertainers and the people who host them. NFL and NBA players, entertainers and reality-TV personalities have trusted Sienna for years because she gets it done — discreetly, on time, and without drama. VIP areas stay VIP. If you're meant to be there, you'll have the access. If not, you won't get past the gate — no matter who you are. ### Safety & security planning Weather contingency, credentials, exits, law-enforcement coordination — asked early. Sienna isn't your security company — she's the person who makes sure you have the right one, and the right plan. Weather contingency? Security posture? Credentials? Emergency exits? Those questions get asked before the event, not during it. She has run credential checks backstage at Essence Fest, held a stadium gate for a VIP flag-football game, and sat in the hot-wash and after-action reviews where the gaps get named so they never happen twice. ### Event consulting Bring your idea. Leave with a plan, the right people, and a contingency. Sometimes you need a producer. Sometimes you need someone to look at your plan and say, "Did you think about this?" — and then introduce you to exactly the right vendor. Small business owners and celebrities alike run ideas past Sienna. Thirty years of relationships means there's usually a guy — or a gal — who can make it happen. ## Stories ### The Unforgettable Prom (A prom for kids fighting cancer) Some teenagers miss their prom to chemotherapy. Some can't afford it. Some are embarrassed because they've lost their hair. The Unforgettable Prom gave them the night anyway. Salons and stylists donated hair and makeup. Wig companies stepped in. A department store donated dresses. It became an annual event the whole team looked forward to — and it's still Sienna's most rewarding work. ### Show me a ticket, buy a ticket, or show me credentials (A VIP flag-football game for the troops) Politicians on both sides of the aisle, a closed stadium, and a very large man who insisted on walking in. Sienna gave him three options and didn't move until he chose one. Later, after the event raised about $37,000, he came back to apologize — and asked her to run security for his team. That's the reputation: polite, immovable, and fair to everyone. ### The rings were at the rental (Day-of coordination) On the wedding day the groom realized the rings were back at the short-term rental. One panicked phone call, a daisy chain of favors, and the rings arrived in time. Not a single guest knew. "We weren't laughing then. We're laughing now." ### No music? Not a problem. (Improvising under pressure) Hired just for the day, Sienna discovered the couple had no processional music at all. A musician friend of the couple had a saxophone with him. "Can you play something for her to walk down the aisle?" He could. That same day she ran barefoot through the French Quarter for batteries. Comfortable in chaos isn't a slogan — it's the job. ### Check the doorknob (The RMG philosophy) Before you bring the battering ram, check the doorknob — the door might not be locked. It's a training joke, and it's how RMG plans: sometimes the answer is much simpler than everyone thinks, and sometimes the obvious isn't obvious until someone says it out loud. We'll be the ones who point out the elephant in the room — and the potential elephant — before it costs you. ## Values - Accountability: If we miss something, we say so and fix it. Owning it is how trust is built. - Loyalty: Thirty years of relationships that still pick up the phone — because we show up for people. - Family: Family-oriented in how we work and who we work for. Every guest should feel like they belong. ## Events we won't take - Fake or misleading fundraisers — if the cause isn't real, we're not in. - Events built to deceive, mislead or take advantage of people. - Hateful or degrading events of any kind. - Anything illegal. Full stop. ## FAQ ### What does Riveting Management Group do? Riveting Management Group plans, produces and runs events — festivals and concerts, galas and fundraisers, weddings and day-of coordination, retreats, corporate workshops, private and celebrity events — and consults on safety and security planning. ### Who leads Riveting Management Group? RMG is led by Sienna M. Newton, a Senior Master Sergeant with 27 years in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard — jet-engine technician, aircraft production controller, deployed First Sergeant and national trainer — with 13-plus years in New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival operations and experience at Bayou Country Superfest and Essence Fest. ### Why is it called Riveting Management Group? Rivets bind things together and make them strong — Sienna was an aircraft mechanic, and her grandmother was a real-life Rosie the Riveter building aircraft in Oklahoma. And "riveting" means spectacular: an event people talk about long after it ends. ### Can you just do day-of coordination for my wedding? Yes. We take your timeline and run the day, so you can enjoy it. When something goes wrong — a forgotten ring, missing music — we fix it quietly, and your guests never know. ### Do you provide security? We plan for it. Sienna is not a security company, but she makes sure your event has the right security partners, credential plan, weather contingency, emergency exits and coordination with law enforcement and the fire marshal — asked early, documented and rehearsed. ### What size events do you handle? From intimate dinners and retreats to festivals with tens of thousands of attendees. Clients have ranged from small business owners to a national museum, professional athletes and festival producers. ### Do you plan retreats? Yes — RMG produces three to four retreats a year: peaceful, often exotic locations, with the venue, travel, program and the right people arranged for you. ### Are there events you won't take? Yes. We won't work on fake or misleading fundraisers, events designed to deceive people, hateful or degrading events, or anything illegal. ### Where are you based? Our roots are in New Orleans, and we work wherever your event is — including destination retreats. ### How do I get started? Tell us about your event on the Plan My Event page: what it is, when, roughly how many guests, and the purpose behind it. Sienna's team will reach out to talk through your vision.
